RASTER xT runs on Windows 2XP Pro Operating Systems

 

RASTER xT utilizes the maximum capacity of today's highest performance graphics cards and system CPUs. 
RASTER xT's texture paging system takes full advantage of the high-bandwidth PCI Express interface to texture memory. By utilizing today's PC technology, system Memory and Disk Space are not limitations. 

Due to RASTER's hardware and software architecture, an unlimited number of Channels  are supported.

RASTER xT uses a simple ASCII text file to configure all tunable parameters of the system. The configuration file is fully commented and easy to change and manage. All installations include a visual file comparison utility to manage changes and upgrades.

RASTER xT has a simple and direct UDP interface allows maximum control over the run-time. Interfacing via Ethernet can be accomplished in a matter of hours instead of weeks like other systems. A complete ICD and C++ example source code are provided. Other interfaces such as HSD and DR11W are available.

RASTER xT can be tuned to meet the specific needs of your simulation.
Maximum visible range, fog culling, level of detail, fade level of detail, are just a few of the tunable parameters. All performance tuning is accomplished via a simple ASCII configuration file.

RASTER xT has proven field record insures system stability. RASTER xT systems are in service 24 hours a day seven days a week in training centers around the world.

RASTER xT is a robust software visual system written using OpenGL to run on the Windows 2000 / XP platform. It has been optimized to run on the latest hardware platforms, however it can be run on a variety of hardware platforms.
This flexibility allows users to upgrade existing systems with the latest hardware to improve performance or increase capabilities. Maintaining a an extensive set of spares for the IG is no longer necessary as replacements can be acquired locally or over the Internet. Newer hardware versions simply plug and play.

Installing system upgrades is a snap. The automated installer updates run-time files and creates backups of existing files. Installing a new version or returning to a previous installation takes just minutes. Differences between versions is fully documented. Updates can be downloaded from our FTP site.

RASTER xT is a complete visual system with all the functionality you would expect from an industry leading company. From extensive weather effects, to calligraphic quality light points, complete run-time test patterns and database tools, RASTER xT has everything you need to meet training needs.
 

The Real-Time supports several stand alone programs that add control for various functions that may be required in the area of maintenance troubleshooting, RT parameter tuning, or to augment Instructor Operating Stations.

 

Real-Time Test Patterns that can be implemented from the IOS to demonstrate all FAA or JAR specifications.

Host Emulator that drives the IG without the need for simulator inputs.

 

A "Mini IOS" that runs on a Tablet PC and augments any IOS to control visual environments if the user does not have the resources to alter simulator IOS visual pages.

 

The Real-Time will run on any windows 2000 or XP platform.  With a PC workstation configured like an IG channel, a DB engineer can edit, or build, an airport database and immediately run that database on his workstation - in Real-Time.

This feature saves hours of engineering time and hours of simulator down time.  This feature dramatically reduces the time to test and evaluate airport databases, as everything can be done off line.
